About Opening Day - September 7, 2019

DELAYED START DUE TO WEATHER
September 7, 2019 9:40 am - 6:00 pm Memorial Field, Rutland

Rutland Youth Soccer is hosting our second annual RYS Opening Day event to kick off the 2019 fall season on Saturday, September 7th from 9:40am - 6pm. In the tradition of Little League parades and other sports jamborees, RYS will bring together our entire soccer club for an exciting family event at Memorial Field in Rutland. We encourage you and your families to come out and be a part of the fun. We have a fun filled day planned, that includes soccer, pictures, activities for the kids, food trucks, RYS merchandise and more. And best of all, other than purchasing food and RYS fan wear, the day is FREE!!!

The day will start with pictures and our U8 (1st/2nd grade) mini tournament. The afternoon will host at two U10 (3rd/4th grade) travel level games, followed by our Pre-K and Kindergarten soccer sessions. And around it all, there will be plenty to keep your family entertained. RYS is also pleased to bring back picture day, where pictures will be taken of full teams and individual children.

Activities include:
- Regular Soccer Sessions for Pre K and Kindergarten
- A Special 4v4 Soccer Tournament for 1st and 2nd Graders.
- Regular Season Soccer Games for 3rd Grade and up. (as scheduled by MAYSL)
- Picture Day - Schedule based on times prior to games, starting at 8:15am.
- Bouncy House activities
- Food Trucks, RYS Merchandize and other vendors.

Picture Day

For the second year in a row, New England Sports Photo (NESP) is proud to be Rutland Youth Soccer's Picture Day vendor on Saturday, September 7th. Photos will be taken during each team’s scheduled time at Memorial Field. Please see your player’s scheduled time here:

Please arrive to the photo area a 5- 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.

ACCESS CODE: F1955

Pre-orders help move the line along faster vs. paying onsite. Please print your online receipt and hand it to the photographer. The above access code is accessible only through the end of the day on Picture Day. This helps ensure that parents are not making a purchase without confirming that an individual photo was taken. Purchases for multiple children in one credit card transaction can be done by setting up an account, otherwise, the “quick pay” option can be used.

Your child’s individual access code will be sent out 3-4 weeks after Picture Day. All orders taken after Picture Day are subject to increased prices.

Paying on-site:

The photographer will have extra order forms.
Check and cash will be accepted.
Credit card information taken on-site will be processed off-site.

During our opening day festivities we will have a tent set up where you can take a look at some of the merchandise our team store has to offer. Squad Locker has provided us a 20% off code valid on all purchases made at opening day. You can access the team store directly from your phone and make a purchase. Check out our team store before the event so you know what you might want. Although limited in quantities, the items that we will have on display will be available for purchase, with pick up after the event is done. 5% of all online sales will be donated back to RYS!!!
